About
The Czech Cabin is a perfect country getaway experience that is located just 6 miles from downtown Fredericksburg. This cabin was built using antique oak logs from an 1800’s log cabin and yet has all the modern amenities and conveniences including a full-size kitchen.
Enjoy your glass of wine or morning coffee on the porch rockers; sit in front of a beautiful limestone fireplace; take a long soak in a claw-foot tub (plumbed with shower head) or relax in your private hot tub surrounded by a stucco wall.
Take a stroll around the property where wildlife and song birds abound. Tranquil and breath-taking hill country views, beautiful sunsets, and amazing star-gazing await you. The owner has purchased 2 new golf carts for guests to use to drive around the property. (NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 ARE ALLOWED TO DRIVE THE CARTS.) Please return the carts back to the garage after you use them.
Please note that Czech Cabin is perfect for couples. The homeowners request no pets and no children.

We really enjoyed the stay. Always a great experience. We love being out of town to take in nature. The only issue, small as it is, is with the size of bed. King would be better and the mattress needs replacing. Hard to sleep on. Otherwise, wonderfull.

If you are looking to get away from the bustle of city life but still want to be within about a ten-minute drive to town, the Czech Cabin is the perfect spot. Although the owners' home and another rental cabin are within close proximity, all three properties are situated so that you feel secluded and private. The property itself is beautiful. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch overlooking green pastures without another person or building in sight. The hot tub is so inviting in the evenings and the stargazing is breathtaking. The house itself is beautiful and clean with little touches all around that make it very cozy and comfortable. We absolutely loved the clawfoot bathtub/ shower, but it might be a challenge to get in/ out if you have mobility or balance issues. Everything about our experience was wonderful and we will definitely be back if we head towards Fredericksburg again. Highly recommend.

Four nights at the Czech Cabin, several miles outside Fredericksburg, gave us a perfect escape to the quiet of the Texas countryside. We love watching colorful sunsets from the cabin’s porch, seeing all the stars at night from the private hot tub, and eating tasty German and Italian food in town.

The Czech Cabin is located in the country in a nice quiet location, minutes from Fredericksburg. The cabin in beautifully decorated and includes all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub both nights. Also enjoyed wine in the evening on the porch watching the deer.

What an amazing experience for our Valentine’s Day weekend getaway. Upon entering the cabin, the first thing we noticed was how cozy and amazingly clean. We had a few things planned in town, but when we saw how amazing the cabin and property were, we decided to only spend one day exploring and the other day enjoying the relaxation that the cabin and its incredible views provided. My girlfriend and I needed a quiet weekend away to enjoy some mountain biking and relaxation. This was absolutely perfect for us and we cannot wait to come back. The fireplace, hot tub and bathtub were the highlights. The bedding and towels felt and smelled very clean. Waking up to freshly ground coffee was so nice too. Henrietta was an excellent host and very kind and responsive!

My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased when we arrived and stayed in our beautiful cabin. We sat on the porch to watch horses, deer and enjoyed nature; we relaxed in the private hot tub and admired the the spacious retreat. Easy 15 min drive to Fredericksburg. We almost didn't want to go into the city as we were so content. We will be back.

This is our new favorite place to escape from the city. Wonderful location and peaceful relaxing area. The weather cooperated so we sat outside and enjoyed the Milky Way and numerous shooting stars. Cabin was excellent and perfect for 2 people. Only wish cigars were allowed on the front porch or around the pool/pond area. (But that's my relaxing hobby) Highly recommend this cabin and area!!!

This is a wonderful place to stay if you love being with nature. The deer, birds and butterflies are all over. The deer are used to people. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. The owners are amazing and friendly. We plan on staying there again in the future.

We had stayed at the Knopp School B&B several times years ago. While the ownership has since changed, the accommodations have not. They are still meticulously clean, visibly authentic and very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

I was very disappointed in all the hidden fees that were charged. Was charged for taxes 3 times, 115$ processing fee because we paid with a credit card, a cleaning fee, hotel fees. At checkout I received a text message for a list of chores to complete before leaving such as adjust the thermostat , start the dishwasher, take out the trash. Ect I was already charged a cleaning fee. Also, there was a unpleasant smell in the restroom that never went away.
