Appian Way Provence Cottage

It was clean, hot tub was nice and appliances.

We’ve been staying at the Tuscan, Provence and Oliva Appian Way cottages for years now. They are beautiful inside and out. The porch is wonderful as we watch lots of different birds especially Hummingbirds at their feeders. We see deer all sizes from spotted fawn to bucks with racks of horns, bunnies and turkeys. It’s so peaceful to wake up to see 12 deer and hear the birds. The views are spectacular. We’ll be back for sure. We go 2-3 times a year. It’s our place.

We’ve been staying at the Tuscan, Provence and Oliva Appian Way cottages for years now. They are beautiful inside and out. Safe, beautiful scenery, quiet, private, rustic. Bed is not the best (old mattress with thick topper). Maybe a good deep dusting, cleaning needed. But...for the view, privacy, safety I'd still go back.

My husband and I made a short trip to Fredericksburg and it was perfect. The house has abundant wildlife and I enjoyed starting the day sipping coffee and watching the deer and birds. The house is well appointed with all the items you many need while there. We did not cook, but if we had the kitchen is perfect for what you need.

This property was great! You must experience this in person. There are a few cabins on the property and they are all well secluded. This one in particular is the furthest back and well isolated. It is best suited for a couple. The furnishings show normal wear and tear and the kitchen has all the basic cookware and utensils you need for simple meals. The hot tub was clean and worked as it should. A/C blows cold and the views were great. It isn't absolute perfection but hey, it's a cabin in the woods and that's exactly what we wanted. You can't really see the other cabins and could only hear the neighbors occasionally. As far as location goes, you will be literally a couple of cattle guards and less than 10 minutes to the center of Main street. There are plenty of young deer roaming the front yard as well as the road in and out. Most of the wineries are no more than 20 minutes away. This was our first trip to Fredericksburg and and we are already planning the next one. This WILL BE where we stay next time for sure! P.S. Book a couple of months ahead if possible...

This property had plenty of privacy for a peaceful quiet getaway! It was also close enough to town making it easy to enjoy everything Fredericksburg has to offer. We will definitely be going back soon!

We absolutely loved the cottage we stayed in. It was clean and ready for us upon our arrival. We did our best before we left to put leave it the way we found it. The only issue with our trip was one of the bars decided to change my 5$ tip to a 50$ tip. This is being disputed with our bank right now. Also we had a lift driver take us on a long way back into town and charged us 28$.

Great experience! The cottage was very spacious and immaculately clean. We had everything we needed for a weekend stay with convenient access to downtown Fredericksburg.

Best part was being secluded on private property. Couldn't hear any traffic and it was so nice and quiet that we really got to unplug for the weekend and enjoy some time on the porch watching the birds and some deer eating from the feeders. Very relaxing.

This was the easiest reservation and check-in process EVER! Staff (Karen) was super helpful and spot on in her suggested cottage for our stay. There was not one thing I could have asked for to make this experience all that is was for us. We left our stay relaxed, renewed and reignited . The storm that passed us did nothing to dap-pen our wonderful experience. In fact, it added to the ambiance. We are already looking forward to our next of many returns. If you want a stress free and over-delivered experience - book with Fredericksburg Escapes...they will not disappoint.

Me and my husband had a fabulous stay at this cottage. We enjoyed every bit of this place to the comfy bed , the hot tub, the scenery and the cozy feel. We loved driving by all the sweet cows and deer. The spot is perfect distance for shopping on main, wineries and enchanted rock. We most definitely will be back and recommending it to all our friends and family!
