Fredericksburg Birdwatching Guide

The Texas Hill Country is the perfect place to escape and get in touch with nature. Birding is a popular activity here in Fredericksburg and the best place for spotting different bird species is at the Live Oak Wilderness Trail in Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. With over 300 bird species in the Texas Hill Country, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of some of the region's most special birds like the zone-tailed, yellow-crowned night heron and the MacGillvray's warbler, both of which are on the endangered species list.
